A Touch of TruckCourier History

Arthur Brussard, founder of TruckCourier has been in the same day expedited delivery business for over 44 years. Arthur began his transportation career by founding Amber Delivery Service and Amber Distribution Systems, which were later acquired and are still operational in some capacity today. In 1990, along with his daughter, Vicki, he developed a new company and an innovative concept in New England transportation…TruckCourier.

Prior to 1990 there was no one whose only focus was on local and regional SAME DAY EXPEDITED TRUCKING & COURIER SERVICES. TruckCourier created a whole new category in delivery… a company that specializes in SAME DAY EXPEDITED PICK UP AND DELIVERY utilizing 22’ dock height straight trucks and cargo vans exclusively, marking the arrival of a new era for shippers with large, heavy or critical freight.

When we pioneered the idea of WEIGHTLESS FREIGHT RATES we were then, and we are now, the leader in the expedited trucking and heavy shipment courier market in New England.

The idea that a company could offer this service for a flat rate – with no extra charges for size, pieces or weight – was unheard of.

Since TruckCourier’s birth, our business model has been imitated and copied by countless companies locally and nationally… but never equaled.
